Tina & Sendy best at European Short Pitch in Poland

As voted by international film producers, Hani Domazet, screenwriter and director, and cinematographer Dinka Radonić, won the European Short Pitch in Poznan, for their debut project Tina & Sendy.

Tina & Sendy, a film by writer and director Hani Domazet, is about two women who meet at a porn film audition and spend the whole day and night together developing a friendship that is just as impetuous as they are.

The European Short Pitch (ESP) is an initiative aimed at developing short co-production films in Europe, and the lead organizer and project supporter is the European Network of Film Associations of Young Professionals ‘NISI MASA’. The programme consists of scriptwriting workshops and co-production forums aimed at connecting producers and directors from all parts of Europe. It is carried out in two phases: scriptwriting and presentations to producers and distributors. During the first phase in Malta, the director participated in a scriptwriting workshop where she had the chance to work with renowned mentors including Nadja Dumouchel (TV kanal ARTE), Razvan Radulescu (The Death of Mr Lazarescu), and many others.

The second phase was the co-production forum held from March 23rd to 26th in Poznan, Poland. Selected projects and their teams presented their films to a large number of international producers. Tina & Sendy, was represented by director Hani Domazet, cinematographer Dinka Radonić, producer Mirta Puhlovski, and assistant Nika Valković. Of the 21 projects, three were selected by secret ballot, and each took home a 1 000 EUR cash prize. Along with Tina & Sendy from Croatia, winners also included Golden Minutes from Lithuania and the Egyptian project Under the Volcano There is Always a Man Sleeping.

Tina & Sendy is produced by Slavica Film, and supported by funds from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

In the last two years, two other projects were presented at the forum, Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović’s Into the Blue, and Daina O. Pusić’s The Beast, both of which went on to win awards at festivals around the globe.
