The Priest’s Children Seen in Brazil by 30,000 People

The Priest’s Children, directed by Vinko Brešan, based on the namesake play by Mate Matišić and produced by Interfilm, screened in Brazil and 10 weeks after the release scored the rate of over 30,000 viewers.

Besides Brazil, The Priest’s Children is distributed in several other countries. On 15 May it began screening in Italy as Padre Vostro, and in the first weekend it attracted more than 6,000 people to the cinemas. In Sweden and Poland the film is distributed in art cinemas, and in Poland the film runs as Ojciec Szpiler.

In July 2014 it will be released in Danish, Hungarian and Korean cinemas, and in August in Germany as well.

The film The Priest’s Children had 158,000 viewers in Croatia and the European Film Academy nominated it for the best European comedy in 2013. The film’s global distributer is the French distribution company WIDE.
