Damir Čučić’s Summerhouse in competition at Marseille International Film Festival

Damir Čučić’s feature film Summerhouse, a Spiritus Movens production, has been selected into the international competition at FIDMarseille - Marseille International Film Festival taking place from July 10th to 16th, 2018. Nebojša Slijepčević’s award-winning documentary Srbenka is also in the festival’s official selection, in the non-competition programme ‘Doc Alliance Selection’.

Summerhouse, directed by Damir Čučić, will have its world premiere at the 29th FIDMarseille International Film Festival. The festival, running from July 10th to 16th, will screen 15 films in the international competition in Marseille, including Summerhouse.

We are happy that the film will have its premiere at such a prominent festival and we believe that this is an excellent start to the film’s festival tour,’ said producer Zdenka Gold of Spiritus Movens.

The feature film Summerhouse follows the story of Vojin, a blind author of radio docudramas, who invites protagonists of his shows to meet him at an isolated hotel in the off-season. He records conversations with them where he captures, with architectural precision, the ruins of their traumatic childhoods.

Along with Summerhouse, FIDMarseille will also screen Nebojša Slijepčević’s award-winning documentary Srbenka in the non-competition programme ‘Doc Alliance Selection’ within ‘Seances Speciales’. The film is produced by Restart, and is supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the cities of Rijeka and Zagreb, and Creative Europe MEDIA Subprogramme.
