Croatian films at Eastern Neighbours Film Festival in Holland

The Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (ENFF) will take place from November 1st to 5th in The Hague. Eight Croatian films will screen in various categories at the festival. Furthermore, as a part of ENF On Tour, the Croatian film All the Best, last year’s ENFF opener, will screen in Utrecht on October 29th and will be attended by the film’s director, Snježana Tribuson.

The New Voices – Feature Length Films category will screen the multiple award-winning film Quit Staring at My Plate by Hana Jušić, The Constitution by Rajko Grlić, The Trampoline by Katarina Zrinka Matijević and the Slovenian-Croatian feature documentary film Houston, We Have a Problem! by Žiga Virc (Croatian co-producer – Nukleus Film).

Another film by Katarina Zrinka Matijević, the documentary A Two Way Mirror, will screen in the Borders Within Us programme. The director will introduce both her films at the festival in The Hague. This programme will also screen Marko Šantić’s short film Blue Peter.

Two Croatian films will screen in the short film category: Hedgehog’s Home by Eva Cvijanović and the Slovenian-Croatian-Austrian co-production Good Luck, Orlo! by Sara Kern (Croatian co-producer – Kinorama).

Leading up to the ENFF, All the Best by Snježana Tribuson will screen on October 29th in Utrecht. Last year, this film opened the festival in The Hague. The director will attend the screening scheduled for 19.00 in the Filmtheater ‘t Hoogt.

All of the above films are co-financed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

The Eastern Neighbours Film Festival brings new and exciting films from Eastern and South Eastern Europe, mainly from countries that are not EU member states or have only just recently joined. The objective is to connect Dutch and international audiences to the cinematography and cultures of their eastern neighbours. Films range in genres from feature and documentary, to short and animated, many of which are premiering in the Netherlands.
