Constitution and Ministry of Love in Montreal

The world premiere of Rajko Grlić’s film Constitution will be held in the World Competition programme at the 40th Montreal World Film Festival. Meanwhile, 'World Greats' will screen the international premiere of Ministry of Love by Pavo Marinković. 

Constitution is about the courage to be that what you are and to love yourself despite everything. The film will screen alongside 21 other films in the international feature film competition in Montreal. The film stars Serbian actor Nebojša Glogovac, who plays a retired professor, a declared homosexual and transvestite, as well as Ksenija Marinković, Dejan Aćimović and Božidar Smiljanić. The film is based on the screenplay by Ante Tomić and Rajko Grlić, the cinematographer is Branko Linta, the art director is Željka Burić, the costume designer is Leo Kulaš, and the make-up artist is Ana Bulajić Črček. The film is produced by Interfilm, the film’s producer is Ivan Maloča, and the distributer is Blitz. Croatian viewers will get to see this film about the love story of hate inspired by the real world this fall.

Also at this year’s festival, in the 'World Greats' (non-competition) programme, will be the international premiere of Ministry of Love by Pavo Marinković who also wrote the screenplay. This is a social comedy about war widows who live in extra-marital unions in order not to lose their right to their late husbands’ pensions. The government, trying to put an end to this practice, sends out inspectors to investigate the situation. The cinematographer is Simon Tanšek, the costume designer is Vedrana Rapić, the art director is Gorana Stepan, and the make-up artist is Ana Bulajić Črček. The Croatian production company is Telefilm and the producer is Stanko Babić. The film stars Stjepan Perić, Dražen Kühn, Ecija Ojdanić, Olga Pakalović, Ksenija Marinković, Milan Štrljič, Alma Prica, as well as Bojan and Goran Navojec. The film had its world premiere at the 63rd Pula Film Festival.
