Josip Zanki (1969) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He has won many awards for his graphic and experimental film work, including Best Experimental Film Award at Mala Pula Film Festival (1988); Oktavijan Award for best animated film at Days of Croatian Film (1993); Special Recognition from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (1994); and the Ministry of Culture Award at the Graphics Triennale in Zagreb (2006). He has been a member of the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association (HZSU) since 1997. In 2007, he became president of the Croatian Association of Artists (HDLU).
