Saša is an unsuccesful writer who works as a restarurant critic. His life starts to change when he meets and falls in love with Ines who works in a private sports centre. However, things get complicated when he writes a bad review for the restaurant owned by a well-connected man. To get his life in order, Saša has to face up to all of his character flaws.

Pavo Marinković (1967) graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He works as a playwright, television and film scriptwriter. In 2001, he wrote his screenplay debut for Dražen Žarković’s feature film Go, Yellow!. Together with Žarković, he co-directed Tressette – a Story of an Island (2006), which was screened at more than 30 international film festivals winning 6 awards altogether. Love Life of a Gentle Coward is his first independently directed feature film.
