Out of 43 submitted works for the international public call for creating an illustration, animated trailer and teaser for the 27th edition of the Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb, from 19 countries across the world, the selection committee which included Daniel Šuljić - artistic director of Animafest Zagreb, Paola Orlić and Matea Milić - producers of Animafest Zagreb, Dino Krpan - Animafest Council member and Ana Kunej - graphic designer / kuna zlatica studio, selected the work of the young animator and illustrator Goran Radošević.

Due to the quality and diversity of received conceptual designs, the task of selection, according to the selection committee, wasn't easy at all. From classical illustrations to entirely innovative ideas that aim to push the boundaries, the selection committee was very satisfied with variety and richness of received artistic expressions.

Beside the clear idea and conceptual unity of illustration and trailer, the selection committee was impressed with the way that Radošević managed to capture the uniqueness of the festival's atmosphere. In the author's own words: 'I tried to convey the simultaneity of screening and socializing in front of the cinema and above all, magic of the festival that is the result of high concentration of imagination in a single place'.

'Spirit of the festival, evoked in colorful visuals and adorable festival protagonists, was the main reason we decided that the illustration author of the 27th edition of Animafest Zagreb should be Goran Radošević', said Daniel Šuljić, the artistic director of Animafest Zagreb.

Goran Radošević, born in Split in 1988, completed his undergraduate study of visual communication at Academy of Arts in Split (2012) and graduated in animation at Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (2016). On the last year's edition of Animafest Zagreb, his work 'Third Law' was selected in the program of site-specific animations 'Animation goes MSU'.
