Maja Milanović (1974) started her career as a writer for theatre and TV, after graduating from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She wrote a screenplay for the short film Veta, directed by Teona Strugar Mitevska, that was awarded with Special Mention in the prestigious Panorama programme of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2001. She directed short fiction films Chateau Rosaline 1937 (2008) and Welcome (2009).
